Equipped with the most advanced sensor technology found in all Ninestars trash cans, this durable trash can automatically opens its lid when a hand or debris is detected within a 10-inch range or a 130-degree angle from the infrared sensor. The lid will remain open as long as the sensor continues to detect the presence of a hand or debris, and it will close automatically three seconds after the hand or debris is removed.

Powered by batteries that can last up to six months under normal daily usage, this model requires three C batteries (not included) and is compatible with both standard trash bags and Ninestars' custom NSTB-13-30 trash bags. The included ring liner helps keep the trash bag out of sight, maintaining a neat and clean appearance.

It's worth noting that the older version of this model accepted four D batteries, but that option has been discontinued. This updated model now requires the use of three C batteries.
